Why We Exist
In an age drowning in data, clarity has become the rarest commodity. Tens of thousands of systematic reviews are now published yearly, and PROSPERO registrations have grown more than tenfold since 2012 (Page et al., 2018). Every decision demands evidence, yet most researchers and practitioners face a paradox:
Decisions precede data. After fifteen years supervising graduate research, the pattern is clear: most high-stakes choices happen before the analysis begins, in how we frame questions, select evidence, and define what counts as truth.
Most failures happen before analysis. Flawed syntheses don’t fail in statistics. They fail in conceptualization, in methodology, in the invisible choices that determine what gets measured.
Trust is eroding. As evidence synthesis becomes democratized, quality becomes inconsistent. Readers increasingly struggle to distinguish rigorous synthesis from systematic guesswork.
MetaSyn Academy was founded to address this crisis directly, not through shortcuts, but through mastery of the full Meta-Journey from research question to publishable answer. Built by a working meta-analyst who teaches the methods he practices.
The Meta-Journey
Evidence synthesis is not a technique. It is a structured journey through four phases, bridging DisClarity, ConClarity, ProClarity, MasClarity, and SynClarity, each with its own challenges, milestones, and transformations
Phase I
Foundation
Before you can synthesize, you must understand what synthesis truly means. Phase I builds your conceptual foundation, the philosophical and methodological bedrock that separates rigorous synthesis from data aggregation. Includes Course 1 (Protocol), Course 2 (Search), and Course 3 (Screening).
From DisClarity to ConClarity: Transform confusion into clear conceptual frameworks.
Phase II
Methodology
With foundations secure, you enter the realm of method. Phase II builds the systematic approaches that structure evidence appraisal, extraction, quantitative synthesis, and robustness testing. Includes Courses 4–7 (Appraisal, Extraction, Meta-Analysis, Heterogeneity).
From ConClarity to ProClarity: Move from understanding concepts to executing flawless protocols.
From ProClarity to MasClarity: Achieve synthesis mastery and command over complex evidence landscapes.
Phase IV
New Frontiers
Beyond mastery lies innovation. HEOR/market access reviews and apex meta-analysis methods, network meta-analysis, individual participant data (IPD), and second-order synthesis. Includes Courses 11–12. This is where you don’t just follow the path, you create new ones.

Dr. Saeedy Robat is a published meta-analyst whose work spans applied linguistics, education, health psychology, public health, and AI-assisted educational psychology. His meta-analysis published in Nature Human Behaviour (2026); his Robot Assisted Language Learning meta-analysis is a Web of Science Highly Cited Paper; and his Self-Determination Theory meta-analysis was co-authored with Prof. Richard Ryan.Over fifteen years he has supervised graduate research and taught more than 8,000 students online, now teaching globally in English for the first time through MetaSyn Academy.
